Privacy Policy — Zoomies

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Zoomies is made by ValleyBytes LLC ("ValleyBytes", "we", "us") — the company responsible for the app and for the data described below.

The short version

Your tasks never leave your phone. No accounts, no ads. Two narrow exceptions: if you buy Premium, our payments partner processes an anonymous purchase record to validate your subscription (see Purchases), and the app sends anonymous usage statistics — never the content of anything you type — so we can see which features help people (see Usage analytics).

What data the app stores

Your tasks, steps, completed wins, streaks, focus-session history, and settings are stored only on your device. The words you write are never transmitted anywhere — we couldn't read your to-do list if we wanted to. Nothing is shared with advertisers, and nothing is ever sold.

Usage analytics

The app records anonymous usage events — for example "a task was completed", "a focus session started", or "the paywall was viewed" — processed by our analytics partner PostHog (hosted in the United States). These events describe what the app did, never what you wrote: task titles, step text, and anything else you type are never included. Events are tied to a random identifier created inside the app; it is not linked to your name, email, device advertising ID, or any account (the app has no accounts). We use this solely to improve the app; it is never used for advertising and never sold. See PostHog's privacy policy. Deleting the app discards the identifier, and you can also request removal of analytics data by emailing zoomies@thevalleybytes.com.

Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder or use the focus timer, notifications are scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. No notification data leaves your phone.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and our payments partner RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous purchase identifier, your purchase history, and basic device information (such as device model and OS version) to validate your subscription. This data is not used for advertising or tracking and is never sold. We never see your name, email, or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Data deletion

Your tasks and app data live on your device: deleting the app deletes them, and you can erase everything from inside the app via Settings → Erase all data. If you bought Premium and want the anonymous purchase record deleted too, email zoomies@thevalleybytes.com and we'll remove it from our payments partner.

Children

The app is intended for users 13 and older and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes (for example, if we add optional cloud backup), we will update this page and note it in the app's release notes before the change takes effect.
